K! Transition spaces

KATALIZO

Following the K! Spaces and creative events line of action, Katalizo builds and supports the organization of spaces that contribute to the dialogue and networking of various actors, the construction of a collective intelligence and the promotion of positive alternatives. With diverse forms of events, and based on the experience of various people that have contributed to the coordination of multiple innovative events (such as the World Social Forum 2016 in Montreal, the “Solidarythmé” cabarets of artistic-critic actions, among others), Katalizo contributes to the reinforcement of civil societies by building our common future. The events can combine participatory activities (round tables, thinking and creative workshops, booths, recreational activities, assemblies…) and multidisciplinary artistic performances addressing societal issues in an interactive way that creates solutions.

There is still possible invisible in the real. - Edgar Morin

Transiro is a collective process of social, ecological and creative transitions, nurtured by recurring events (festivals or other spaces), linking the local to the global.

The "Village Possible" is an event organized by the Transiro Collective, that happened on August 10-11 2018. It allowed the exchange of knowledge and practices through workshops, conferences, concerts, demonstrations, and assemblies, which took place in a festive and family friendly atmosphere.

Katalizo supported the organization of the Village Possible event in the planning, fundraising, administration, supervision of summer employees (funded by the Government of Canada) and international relations.

The actions of Transiro will still be supported by Katalizo in 2019 and fall within the K! Social Mobilization and the K! Spaces, creative and artistic events.

TISS Multicultural Cabaret

The TISS Multicultural Cabaret was established in 2014 to celebrate the power of art to strengthen intercultural relations.

It develops a series of events that bring together different cultures, languages and artistic disciplines.

This type of Cabaret highlights the importance of diversity in artistic and creative events. People are invited to experience and enjoy diverse forms of art that integrate a variety of social and cultural backgrounds.

Katalizo supported the organization of the TISS Cabaret, providing support for administration, logistics, communications and mobilization.

The actions of TISS Multicultural Cabaret are contained within the K! Spaces Line of Action.
